Support the Child Tax Credit!

In 1997, the Taxpayer Relief Act (championed by Republican lawmakers) created the Child Tax Credit. Over the years Congress has made significant changes to the tax credit, transforming it from a nonrefundable credit to a refundable credit available to low-income families with sufficient earned income.
